About Harley

I’m a proud Owensboro native, born and raised in this community I’m honored to call home. At 30 years old, I’m a husband and father who understands firsthand the challenges working families face every day.
My roots in this community run deep.
Right out of high school, I answered the call to serve my country as a member of the United States military. During my service, I was pursuing a degree in early childhood education, driven by a passion for helping young people reach their potential. While life took me in a different direction, that commitment to serving others has remained constant throughout my journey. After completing my service, I started my career in local factories, learning the value of hard work and the dignity that comes from earning an honest living. Today, I’m a union Carpenter, building not just structures, but a stronger future for our community. As a Trustee and Delegate for my local union hall, I fight every day to ensure working people have a voice and fair treatment on the job.
Service has always been central to who I am. As Vice President of the Pirate Proles and Membership Chair of the Chamber of Young Professionals, I work to bring fresh perspectives and energy to our city’s civic life. I’m especially proud of my role on the collaborative board dedicated to getting young and new members onto boards throughout Owensboro—because our community’s leadership should reflect the diverse voices of all its citizens.
My commitment to service extends to my involvement with the American Legion, AMVETS, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where I’ve been a proud member for 10 years. These organizations have deepened my connection to fellow veterans and to the broader Owensboro community.
When I’m not working or serving the community, you’ll find me at home with my wife, our child, our two Great Danes, and two cats. I attend Bellevue Baptist Church, an avid board game enthusiast, scuba diver, and karaoke regular—because life’s too short not to have fun along the way.
I believe in rolling up my sleeves, showing up, and doing the work. That’s the Owensboro way, and it’s how I approach every challenge and opportunity that comes my way.
